The sister award to the CILIP Carnegie Medal, The CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal is awarded by children’s librarians for an outstanding book in terms of illustration for children and young people. Illustrations play an important role in reading help comprehension and interpreting text, books can also be works of art in themselves. Again in 2022 some amazing books nominated.
