The Brilliant Book Awards, is a scheme run by Nottinghamshire (my adopted home town) Education Library Services, schools submit nominations for the long list in June, with the shortlist being announced in November.   Students in participating schools read the shortlisted books and vote for their favourite. 

Librarians and Library services within schools can really encourage a love of reading and bring a variety and depth to collections which might otherwise be missing. I also love that this is voted for by students. Enjoy the list.
